28.04.10
16 April 2010
As part of the ongoing work of RNNI a meeting of the Village Renewal Thematic Working Group took place in Markethill on 13 April.
This meeting was one of a series of visits to villages around Northern Ireland where the group would have the opportunity to view case examples of how village renewal has worked in practice and to draw on this experience in the development and administration of the Village Renewal Measure in their area.
This visit was hosted by SOAR and was held at Bingham House, the premises of Saver Naver, a local victims group. The group were treated to presentations from members of Saver Naver together with a tour of the premises and of the village.
The next meeting of the Working Group is scheduled to take place in May and will be hosted by the ARC North West Leader group.
